Artist Statement:
Color or the lack of it has a great ability to influence how we feel about any given object or situation. It is a powerful tool. In my installation painting "Art is Color" I have divided the color world into four quadrants. In this multiple piece oil painting, color progresses from dark at center to lighter and brighter hues. I mixed all the color directly from primary paint: red, blue, and yellow. Any of the colors can be placed in any arrangement to produce a desired effect. The amazing result is a progression of vibrant color. The piece can be sold as one or in individual sections. The art collector can select the color palette, size, and composition achieving the perfect assemblage and creating the desired sentiment.
